The rapid development cycles are in full swing here with Jiggmin and me. With each of these games I’ve taken up the habit of heading straight to the library in search of reference materials. With our latest project, EFFING HAIL, I wanted to capture the look and feel of playing with extreme weather patterns inside of an info-designed text book. We’ve all seen them. The weather diagrams with large arrows, isometric perspectives and fluffy clouds.
In the game itself you control the updraft inside a hail storm. The longer you keep the hail in the air, the bigger it gets and the more powerful your projectiles become. Basically… wreak havoc on the city with massive chunks of hail. Here’s a screenshot of the game as it is right now:
