its a good value, but when you are losing, you need a way to get more money, maybe money if you kill another dino?

The problem is, you can stock-kill a dino. Get close to their fort and fire SAM missles over and over again to get lots of cash.

SAM (Surface to Air Missile)
Not really to air specifically, it's basically a more effective canon.  Longer range and more damage.

Cluster Bomb
Unleash a large bomb that holds 5 bombs that spread out and release around the apex of the "mother-bombs" flight.  It's not as long range as the SAM, but packs a wider spread and does more damage in general.

Aircraft Carrier
Same as the meteor, but you launch bombs out of three aircraft.  It's more powerful than the meteor, but the bombs drift with the momentum of the aircraft, unlike how the meteor works with dropping straight down.  It takes more skill to aim than the meteor, but it deals more damage.

Can SAM attack the aircraft launched by the carrier?  (After all, it is called "Surface to Air" Missile.)

Also, the Cluster Bomb seems to have a longer range than SAM, so your descriptions may not be accurate.

Would be great if SAM can hit aircraft and effectively cancel an incoming bomb attack.  It is the "Surface to Air" Missiles.  Of course, aiming the fast-moving aircraft and actually hitting them should be difficult. 

However, a good player with an amazing aim (or who has practiced a lot) can effectively neutralize the aircraft carrier (most of the time.)  So a player who can aim well with SAM would force his opponent to come up with a different strategy rather than just simply spamming aircraft over and over again.

That also adds the usefulness of an otherwise fairly weak and useless weapon in the game.  The Cluster Bomb makes SAM mostly useless (as they are both projectiles, but Cluster Bomb does more damage and has  a longer range.)

That's a good idea, and one we've considered before.  It would make the balance a bit more complicated, so we'll have to wait on it for now.

Regarding the SAM, I wouldn't underestimate it's effectiveness.  It can become vital to winning a game.  I don't think it's useless at all.

I think the air strike should cost more. I mean, it does more damage, covers a large area,so it requires  less accuracy, but then the "goes with the win" just balances it back to normal again, like meteor, except cheaper. Also, more expertise players, could, as ktchong as said, spam aircraft all the time. Also, it's MUCH longer range.Maybe it could be 175$, or just plain 200$ like meteor. Maybe more, because, like I said, it's cheap in late-gameplay, and can be excessively used without worries, and with lots of damage.

Strikes in general are easier to use, so those newer to the game will always go to that to try to get a leg up.  They aren't hard to counter, though, if you tune up your firing skills.

I just started playing Dinowaurs recently and I've got to say it is very well balanced. When you're new to the game you think that airstrikes are by far the strongest weapon, but then you get spanked by players that rush with castle and go straight for the jugular.

The map balance is weird. There's one map where the starting towns are super close to each other, much closer than SAM range, which basically forces you to Castle rush. Another map is the opposite, your towns are so far apart that there's not much penalty for running back to tier2 to purchase clusters/meteors.

My biggest complaint with DW is that it takes way too long to accumulate DNA - to get a single 5000 point item at 40 points per game, you'd have to win 125 games to get a single item - and there are tons of items in game! This is a flash game, its not WoW or CoD, it shouldn't take that kind of time investment.
