I don't think the descriptions could be added, since it obviously can't fit in-game and the menu isn't very convenient to see what the weapon you're about to buy does.

Detailed descriptions should be in tutorial/practice and the basic description(ratings) should be in battle. Theres not enough time in battle mode to look at each weapon.

I agree with that, though there's still the problem of not enough room.

You mean, not enough room on the screen? If it was in practice mode you could have info in a box on the side of the screen. It doesn't have to be a huge description, just enough to tell you information, stats, and maybe recommended uses for the weapon.

Keep in mind that it has to be clear enough to see in low quality, but I think your suggestion would work.

Yeah, the text could be made a bitmap, and then imported in, which wouldn't change the look of the text much. Though, that's a bit overkill.

I figure there would only be a maximum of 5 or 6 lines in the description.

Bitmaps won't work because bitmaps don't have Alpha transparency, which won't look good.

You don't necessarily need transpanency. You could have a bubble with the same backround color behind it.

Or you could just import it as a gif.

Yeah, but it's getting way too complicated. Just make big letters and it'll look fine.

Yea when i say main menu, i mean the main menu that you guys haven't seen yet.  We are pretty far on it, and had it working in earlier versions, but we wanted all the testers to focus on the fun of the game itself, instead of the menu...

maybe i'll post some screen shots of that....  maybe...

but yea, we'll have room in there to give you descriptions of all the weapons and things of that nature, including descriptions of the accessories, maps and beyond!  This menu will be a way more elaborate version of "Battle, Practice Mode" type thing.  I'll talk to the guys and see if we can't post that up here.
