Hey All. Joe here (the other programmer  Cool).

Just wondering how the overall balance of the game (weapon costs & power, village income, etc.) feels. Do you feel some weapons are way too over powered or costly to fire? What situations do you feel you can never recover from and think you should. Also, what are some strategies you've noticed work well against certain weapons/techniques. We we would like to try out some balance tweaks. Let us know! We can even make some polls and vote on them.

Alright, back to my egg.

I've noticed that the lawyers seem to not work too well against the S.A.M.  I might've been using them wrong, but whoever I was facing at the time easily won.

S.A.M. + Lawyers is pretty powerful. S.A.M. takes care of the other dino and the Lawyers just mow down the towns.

I think the meteor is overpowered, and the air strike is underpowered.

The airstrike looks cool, but is impractical to use effectively. The costs make the meteor much easier and more effective.

I can't really use the air-strike effectively, I think it's because it's drifting too much or I'm lagging.

I think the mechanics for the airstrike should be altered. Maybe make it more like a shower of lesser powered missiles. It would make it more effective against dinos and easier to aim.

Also, the villages should be equally spaced apart for both players. Otherwise it could give an advantage to one person, if they don't have to walk as far to get the best weapons.

We've actually got a plan for this exact thing.  The plan right now is to have strikes start a certain distance behind your dino, then for the airstrike the planes will have a limited distance.  Planes will travel along the ground closely at the start and slowly rise towards the top of the screen (making it harder to hit further targets) and eventually going off completely meaning the other targets are out of range.  We'll also have a range-finder on the mini-map too.

A similar thing will happen with the meteor, in that the laser will flicker and fade out...

That might work IF the range was even SMALLER. Just tiny explosions, then it would depend if the bomb landed right on the villages.
